Dominic O’Connor Ltd. completed a comprehensive decarbonisation and refurbishment project at St. Patrick’s Boys National School under the RePowerEU Schools Energy Pathfinder Programme.

The project included fabric upgrades, low-carbon heating integration, ventilation improvements and associated mechanical and electrical services works.

Key elements included installation of air source heat pumps operating alongside high-efficiency LPG boilers, MVHR ventilation systems and extensive internal upgrades to improve indoor environmental quality and building performance.

All works were delivered within a live operational school environment while maintaining continuity of teaching activities.

Dominic O’Connor Ltd. delivered a full energy retrofit project at Shinrone National School incorporating extensive architectural, mechanical and electrical upgrades. The project included external wall insulation systems, replacement windows and doors, low-carbon heating infrastructure and MVHR ventilation systems.

The works were completed within a live operational school environment and required careful phasing,

traffic management and coordination of multiple specialist trades. The project significantly improved energy efficiency, comfort levels and indoor air quality throughout the school.

Dominic O’Connor Ltd. delivered a complete energy efficiency upgrade project at Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin under the National Energy Efficiency Upgrade Pilot Programme 2020.

The project involved coordinated architectural, mechanical and electrical retrofit works including roofing upgrades, glazing replacement, external render systems, heating system upgrades, LED lighting replacement and photovoltaic installation.

The works were carefully phased within a live operational school environment to ensure uninterrupted teaching activities. DOCL acted as Main Contractor and PSCS, coordinating all specialist trades while delivering the project safely, on programme and to a high standard of workmanship.
