About The Project Overview ..
Dominic O’Connor Ltd. delivered the complete mechanical services installation associated with the redevelopment and extension of the Windle Building to create a new six-storey Student Hub facility at University College Cork.
The development combined refurbishment of the existing Windle Medical Building with new-build accommodation providing student facilities, collaborative spaces, social hubs and campus support accommodation within the centre of the university campus.
The mechanical services installation included heating systems, steam and condensate infrastructure, heat recovery ventilation, smoke extract systems, BMS controls, natural ventilation systems, rainwater services and fire fighting installations, all delivered to BREEAM standards within a live university environment.
